Congress Holds Strong Protest in Jammu Against CEC Gyanesh Kumar

JAMMU, SEPT, 25:-The Jammu and Kashmir Congress held a strong protest in Jammu against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, raising serious allegations over the functioning of the Election Commission and what party leaders described as injustice towards the people of the country.

Senior Congress leader T.S. Tony strongly criticised Gyanesh Kumar during the protest and alleged that the Election Commission had betrayed the trust of the people.

Addressing the gathering, Tony said, “Gyanesh Kumar should be given the death penalty; he has betrayed the people of the country.” The statement was made in the context of the Congress party’s allegations against the Election Commission.

Congress leaders and workers participating in the demonstration raised slogans against the Chief Election Commissioner and demanded accountability and transparency in the functioning of the electoral system.
The protesters said the Election Commission must safeguard the democratic rights of citizens and maintain public confidence in the electoral process.

The demonstration witnessed the participation of Congress leaders, workers and supporters, who called for greater transparency and accountability in matters concerning elections and electoral rolls.
