BUDHAL, APRIL 08:- In an inspiring example of talent and hard work, a Class 10th student from the remote Targain village of Budhal in Rajouri district has successfully created working models of a JCB (excavator) and a mini hydel power project using simple household materials.
The student, 16-year-old Zahid Ali, son of Mohammad Hafeez, completed both models on his own without any formal technical training or special equipment.
Using easily available items at home, Zahid built a functional model of a JCB machine, showing how such heavy machines dig and move soil. His model clearly reflects his understanding of basic mechanical working and design.
Along with this, he also developed a small hydel power project by using water flow from a nearby stream. The model is able to generate a small amount of electricity.
The electricity produced is stored through a simple setup, and Zahid has even used it to charge a mobile phone, showing that his model is not just for display but also useful.
What makes his work special is that he completed everything at home without any lab, teacher guidance, or advanced tools. His dedication and interest in science made this possible.
Talking about his work, Zahid said he enjoys creating new things and learning by doing experiments. He also said that with proper support and guidance, he wants to improve his projects in the future.
People in the village are appreciating his efforts and visiting his home to see the models. Locals say his achievement is a proud moment for the area and will inspire other students.
