BMO Kandi demands 2 days exemption from vaccination for staff to celebrate Eid.

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kandi Health Block in Rajouri district has appealed to higher authorities to grant two days exemption from field vaccination duty for the staff so that they can celebrate the Eid festival with their families & loved ones.
Pertinently health staff of Kandi health block, especially ASHA workers, under the supervision of Dr.Iqbal Malik due to their extraordinary efforts has recently vaccinated all the beneficiaries above 18 years in two panchayat of the block.
In a Tweet, Lt Governor said: “My sincere gratitude to valiant efforts of ASHA workers & PRIs members. Courtesy efforts of ASHA workers like Naseem Akhter, two panchayats of Kotranka in Rajouri stand fully vaccinated for all above 18 years & thus we indebted to them for their selfless service & strong spirit”.
The block has also achieved a milestone for conducting vaccination at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries and this initiative was appreciated at International as well as National level and was also followed by other districts of the UT of J&K.
Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO said despite heavy rains in the Kotranka region our dedicated vaccination teams have utilised 600 doses of Covid vaccine.
“Our teams have been working continuously for the past several months without any break. They have remained engaged even on all holidays /Sundays in the vaccination campaign & due to their extraordinary efforts we have observed excellent results” said Dr. Iqbal Malik.
He added that in our health block every health worker; including safaiwala to Community Health Officer (CHO) to Zonal Medical Officer (ZMO), have been working in coordination to achieve the target for age groups of 18-44 years and 45 years above.
Meanwhile, Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO keeping in view Eid-ul-Azha festival has temporarily adjusted doctors, pharmacists, X-Ray technicians, FMPHWs, etc in important health centers (from other health centers) at Kotranka, Budhal & Peeri.
According to orders the said staff shall report at the respective health centers in the evening on July 20 and shall remain present round the clock on July 21 & 22 and shall be responsible for any eventuality.
