Kishtwar, June 21GNS:Under the supervision and guidance of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, the “Back to Village”programme in 42 panchayats of district Kishtwar culminated successfuly under Phase-I in the evening, wherein people including men, women, elder people and youth showed their great interest and cooperation while participating in the programme in large number with full vigour and zest.
It is pertinent to mention here that next phase starts in 54 panchayts under Phase II on 22nd and 23rd June and the rest 40 panchayats shall be covered under Phase III on 24th and 25th June.
During the said programme the designated Gazetted Officers interacted with every strata of society to understand their problems, issues, grievances and demands which shall be projected to higher authorities through a detailed prescribed performa by the concerned gazetted officer.
The designated gazetted officers distributed onspot Job Cards, PRCs and EWS certificates and also conducted Gram Sabha, Special Sabha with women, Swachhta Rally, Exhibitions/Melas and other development activities in their respective panchayats.
District Development Commissioner visited in various panchayats including Matta-A, Matta -B, Pochhal A2 of Block Kishtwar and interacted with general public and listened their grievances.
DDC expressed his hope that the feedback so obtained will help the government to assess the needs and prime requirements of people besides he urged upon the cross section of society to participate in large number during the said programme so that a viable database as well as vision document could be framed by the district authorities for the overall development of their Panchayat in consultation with the higher authorities .
He urged for the judicious and optimum utilization of the two days under phase -I in accordance with the desired objectives and parameters of the State government.
ADDC Kishtwar, Mohd Hanief Malik, ACD Kishtwar, Anil Kumar Chandail and other concerned officers accompanied the DDC during the visit.
