B/72 Battalion CRPF Organizes Free Medical Camp in Nowshera

RAJOURI DEC 10:-In a bid to enhance healthcare access in the remote areas of Nowshera and foster closer ties between the administration, the public, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the B/72 Battalion CRPF organized a free medical camp at the Government Middle School in Patrari village, Nowshera.

The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Vinit Kumar, Second Command Officer of the 72nd Battalion CRPF, alongside Baljeet Singh, ASP of Nowshera. Other notable figures present included Prabhakar Nayak, Deputy Commandant of 72nd Battalion CRPF, Jaswant Singh, SDPO Nowshera, Doctor Pawan Kumar, Medical Officer from Lamberi, Doctor Rajan Chhatri, Medical Officer of 72nd Battalion CRPF, and Lavkush Kumar Kanaujia, Assistant at 72nd Battalion CRPF. Arjun Mangotra, SHO of Nowshera, and the Panchayat members of the village also attended the event.

During the camp, residents from Patrari and surrounding villages, including women, children, youth, and the elderly, received free medical consultations and medicines from the doctors. The aim of this initiative was to provide basic healthcare services to these remote areas, where access to medical facilities is limited, and to raise awareness about general health practices.

The initiative was widely appreciated by local residents, who expressed gratitude for the CRPF’s efforts in bringing medical assistance closer to their doorsteps. Due to the remoteness of the area, locals often face challenges accessing healthcare, requiring them to travel to Nowshera, Sundarbani, Rajouri, or even Jammu for treatment. The free medical camp was seen as a much-needed relief, with many urging that such camps be held periodically to continue benefiting the community.

The camp underscored the CRPF’s commitment to supporting local communities beyond their traditional security role, contributing to the welfare and well-being of the people they serve.
