    Rajouri,December 10:–The police here in Rajouri have arrested a bootlegger recovering one hundred bottles of smuggled liquor in Kallar chowk area of Rajouri.

    Accused have been identified as Anil Sharma son of Kali Dass resident of Sassalkote Doongi area of Rajouri.

    Police said a team headed by Chatyar Chingus police post incharge SI Ashish Chowdhary under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani was on routine frisking of vehicles on highway at Kallar when a vehicle JK11B 6908 was intercepted.

    One hundred bottles of smuggled liquor were recovered and seized from the vehicle.

    Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Rajouri Police station.

    Srinagar, Dec 10: senior BJP leader and national spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain on Thursday said Mehbooba Mufti should accept her defeat in ongoing District Development Councils (DDC) rather than staging everyday dramas.

    Addressing the party workers at Town Hall Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district regarding the campaigning for DDC candidate Dr. Aneesa Gul urged people support her and defeat traditional regional parties in the region.

    The senior leader people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the dynastic politics. It seems Mehbooba Mufti is frustrated to see that people have rejected PDP at the ground level.

    “Every day she is staging dramas of arrests and detentions and blaming administration for the same. She should accept her defeat,” he said.

    Hussain said seeing the actions of Mehbooba Mufti these days, it seems she fearing BJP as it has gained acceptance in Valley. Mehbooba is not accepting her defeat but she knows that people have rejected them.

    “She knows people will not accept her today as PDP along with other regional parties have deceived people over the past seventy years in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

    Reacting to Gupkar alliance, the senior leader said it is dead now and people have rejected them everywhere and have voted for development.

    He said people have voted for development and they hope that only BJP can do it. There is mistrust among people regarding the regional parties, Shahnawaz said.

    “BJP is committed for development in Kashmir and people will see the difference in coming years and our credibility is at the stake,” he said.

    Shahnawaz said BJP will show people of India that how it developed Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.

    Pattan, December 09 : Ahead of 5th phase of DDC elections suspected gunmen’s attack rocked in north Kashmir’s Pathan resulting in Injuries to six civilians.

    An official told Kashmir Despatch that suspected gunmen lobbed a grenade on security forces in Pattan area , however it missed the target and exploded on road resulting in Injuries to six civilians.

    All the injured were taken to nearby hospital for advanced treatment.

    Sharing the details of injured persons to Kashmir Despatch a health official identified them as Ghulam Mohammad Parray son of Mohammad Ramzan Parray of Singpora, Gulzar ahmad k
    Khan son of Ghulam Mohidin, Farman Ali a resident of UP, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat of Singpora, Zubair Ahmad Dar son of Ashiq Dar of Singapora and Tabasum daughter of Abdul Rehman Bhat of Doodi Pora Handwara.

    A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that whole area has been sealed to nab the attackers.

    Pertinently, this is fourth such attack in northern region of Kashmir since past two weeks, earlier two greande attackers were reported in Kupwara district while one was reported in Sopore’s Warpora.

    Srinagar, December 09 (GNS):– PDP chief and former Chief Minister of the erstwhile J&K, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that she was again detained, third time in less than a fortnight.

    “Illegally detained today for the third time in less than a fortnight. Too much democracy indeed,” Mehbooba said in a tweet. “If my movements are curbed due to ‘security concerns’ then why are BJP ministers allowed to campaign freely in Kashmir while I’ve been asked to wait until culmination of DDC elections?”

    By “too much democracy”, Mehbooba was apparently referring to NITI AAYOG CEO Amitabh Kant’s purported remarks on Tuesday that “tough” reforms are “very difficult in the Indian context,” as “we are too much of a democracy”. (GNS)

    :–Block Medical Officer, Darhal has been attached with the Office of Director Health services (DHS) , Jammu reportedly for violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) as his real brother is contesting DDC election from Darhal constituency.
    In this regard, a complaint was made with J&K State Election Commissioner reportedly by other contesting candidate.
    Election Commissioner forwarded the complaint to District Panchyat Election Officer (DPEO), Mohd Nazir Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner.
    “Chief Medical Officer was asked to inquire about the complaint and accordingly the inquiry team was constituted to verify the complaint within 24 hours. On inquiry team report and on CMO’s recommendation higher authorities have attached the BMO with the office of DHS” said DPEO.
    When contacted Dr. Shammim Bhatti, CMO said that a three-member inquiry team, including three BMOs namely Dr. Mehmood, Dr.Sat Pal & Dr. Manzoor, was constituted to verify the complaint.
    “On inquiry committee report, which was forwarded to higher authorities, Dr. Sajjad Mirza, BMO Darhal has been attached by the DHS in the Directorate office today” said CMO.
    Reliable sources said that Dr. Sajjad was using his influence to woo the voters and health employees, especially working in the field, to cast their votes in favor of his brother.

    Accused have been identified as Mohammad Arif son of Mohammad Ikhlaq Khan resident of Dabbi Balakote in Poonch and Mohammad Asif son of Mohammad Khalil resident of Samattee Challas in Doongi area of Rajouri.

    Police said that a team headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri, SI Danish Maqbool and SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani under the supervision of DSP Hqrs Rajouri Vinod Kumar were on routine patrolling in Tandwal Thandikassi area of Rajouri highway when two pedestrians moving suspiciously were intercepted.

    During their frisking, 385 grams of Heroine like substance was recovered from their possession after which duo were arrested on the spot.

    Police informed that a case under relevant sections of law have been registered in police station Rajouri with further investigation to unearth linkages of the two arrested peddlers is going on.

    Anantnag, Dec 8 : The Indian National Congress (INC) on Tuesday accused the BJP of converting Jammu & Kashmir into a testing laboratory of “injudicious & ill-considered policies” & plunging the entire region into “chaos & confusion”.

    Addressing a party meeting at Kokernag, in south Kashmir, former J&K Congress President & former Cabinet Minister Peerzada Mohammad Syed, claimed that the BJP has come out in its “true colours debunking its farce claims” on development.

    “J-K has become a testing laboratory of injudicious and ill-considered policies of GOI (Government of India) & that on an everyday basis, the administration was coming up with flawed orders & policies,” Syed alleged.

    He alleged that the Congress leaders they were not being allowed to move out from the security enclosures created by the government after assessment of “threat perception” to these leaders, but leaders of JK Apni Party & BJP were being allowed to campaign with security cover. The election is fast becoming a farce & exposes the hollow claims of the about improved security situation in J&K. He said.

    Former J&K Congress President also accused the BJP of killing the economy of J-K & said they cannot escape from this accountability. All their development promises were thrown into backburner & even basic needs have remained unfulfilled, he said. BJP failed to engage & build a trust with the people of J&K. There was an urgent need to win over the minds & hearts of all sections of people in J&K but. BJP made the people of Jammu&Kashmir go through so much misery & torture. He said.

    Peerzada Syed further said his party would not be cowed down by BJP’s “rants” & would continue its fight against the “wrong policies” of the saffron party without compromising on people’s wishes & rights.

    He accused the BJP of pushing the people in Jammu & Kashmir to the wall in the name of development & claimed that the party is working to implement its political agenda which is “divisive” & “anti-people”, & triggered unrest across the country including Jammu & Kashmir.

    The former minister said that the people should teach BJP a lesson for their misdeeds with the people of J&K by voting for Congress candidates to power in DDC elections. He appealed to the people to defeat the nefarious designs of BJP & ensure the victory of Congress party in the DDC polls.

    “The people have lately come to understand that BJP”s so -called development agenda was a phony to shear the people of J&K from their rights & wishes. Appealing to people not to get swayed by “false propaganda” of the BJP & vote against the “divisive, wrong & anti-people policies” of the BJP. . Congress party believes in secularism & had always promoted equitable development. He added.

    Urging people to reject the “politics of hate”, Peerzada stressed that the Congress is the “guarantee” for development, peace & growth of common masses. Syed, further said Central government has pushed the youth of Jammu & Kashmir towards darkness & hopelessness & BJP failed to fulfil the aspirations of youth & promoted only nepotism & favouritism in the Jammu & Kashmir.

    Ramban, December 08:- Jammu Kashmir rehabar- e- taleem teachers forum(JKRETTF) district unit Ramban appealed director school education Jammu (DSEJ) for release of TA of the month of November in favour of teachers who perfomed their duties during examinations and facelifting process.
    In a press release issued here district president Ramban Farooq Ahmed Runyal said that despite of clarification issued by CEO Ramban for the release of TA in favour of teachers who have attended school for conduct of examination from 1st to 8th as per TA rules issued vide government order no 427-F of 2019 dated 28-11-2019,some of the DDOs of different zones specially Banihal and Batote of district Ramban are still not allowing to their account section staff for making the bills with TA of the month of November. Runyal said that teachers performed their duties at their respective schools during examination and facelifting and now are busy with complaining results. He said that some employees in different zones specially in Batote zone were given TA on influence bases and the teachers/ deserving ones who performed their duties were ignored which is injustice and discrimination with teaching community of the said zones. He said that the DDo in charge Batote and Banihal are not allowing the account staff for making bills with TA which is the violation of TA rules.District and zonal units of JKRETTF Banihal and Batote appealed director school education Jammu to kindly intervene in this matter and give necessary Direction’s to concerned DDos for the release of same.
