    Rajouri,April,11:In a fight against the corona virus situation,the Rotary Club Rajouri have joined hands with District Administration Rajouri by providing Masks N95,Triple layer masks, Sanitizers, Examination gloves, Shoe cover and Cap disposables.

    The Rotary Club Rajouri handed over the material to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh for further distribution among the health workers of the district.

    Among the others,Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh,District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Bilal Mir, President Rotary Club Rajouri, Haqeeqat Singh Isher and Assistant Governor Rotary Club Rajouri, Ashish Langer, Secretary Rotary club,Rafiq Mir and member Rashid Khan.

    Rtn Ashish Langer of Rotary club said, “We have already provided sufficient no PPE kits to the medical team and shall be providing masks,sanitizers and other essentials items to the health workers through district Administration Rajouri”. He said we get to know that there is a shortage of PPE kits, masks, Surgical Disposables and sanitisers in the civil hospitals thus we decided to provide some to health workers who are fighting against corona pandemic from the front and are prone to infection.

    He informed that 2000 triple layer masks,100 N95 Masks,700 Senitizers bottles,1000 Examination gloves,500 Shoe covers and 500 disposable caps have been handed over to District Administration for further distribution among the health workers.

    Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club Rajouri for providing their assistance to the district administration in combating COVID19 and said that although the district administration is working 24/7 for the welfare of the common masses but the active cooperation of the social organisations with the district administration is a must during this period of CoronaVirus pandemic to make it sure that the required basic facilities can be provided to the general public without any delay so that they don’t get panicked.

    Rajouri,April,11: To facilitate the patients,stranded passangers of the district,employees and to mitigate their sufferings during the lockdown announced following the CoronaVirus pandemic,the district administration Rajouri on Saturday launched Epass service.

    It is pertinent to mention here that district administration Rajouri has already taken a number of measures to ensure the convenience of the patients during the lockdown period and all necessary medicare facilities are being provided to them in a hassle free manner and without any delay.

    While speaking on the occasion,the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said that any patient/stranded passangers/Employees who are in need of restriction pass can apply online on www.epassrajouri.nic.net.in for E-Pass from his/her mobile or computer.

    He added that citizens need to enter the mobile number for registration on which an OTP shall be sent for authentication. The personal details of the patient will have to be filled in along with uploading the Photo ID proof,other valid documents required and the copy of the Doctor’s prescription.

    The confirmation message will be sent on registered mobile numbers and Email Ids.

    He said that the district administration Rajouri is working in a nonstop manner to ensure essential medicare facilities are provided to the general public especially the COVID patients in the district so that their sufferings can be mitigated.

    Moreover the District Administration Rajouri also launched the website, titled Khooj,in an effort to trace out those students and travelers who have arrived in the district from outside and have not reported their travel history.

    The website provides options of “self report” and “report about others.”The website can be accessed on www.khojcovidrajouri.nic.in

    While speaking the Deputy Commissioner said,“Students and Travellers having travel history of Covid-19 affected countries and other affected areas of the country who have not declared their travel history till date must report their travel history to local health authorities/COVID-19 helpline Numbers or through this WebsiteImmediately, ”

    He further said,“Family members, neighbours and people in general are appealed to bring such cases in notice of the administration through this Website and help the District Administration in breaking the chain of COVID-19.

    Both these webites have been developed by NIC Rajouri under the overall of District Informatics Officer,Muzafar Mir.

    Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Sher Singh,District Statistical and Evaluation Officer,Bilal Rashid Mir,Assistant Commissioner Development,Sushil Khajuria and District Panchayat Officer,Dr.Abdul Khabir were present on the occasion.

    Jammu 11 Apr :……The philanthropic organization Global Peace Foundation from Jammu and Kashmir distributed ration and essentials among the slum dwellers and among migrant labourers in and around the Jammu city after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world leaving millions of labourers jobless and on the brink of starvation.

    The government has introduced multitude of measures to provide relief to the poor people but sudden lockdown has stuck millions of people at different places under work and unpaid for weeks together now.

    In these crisis Non Governmental Organizations have come forward to the rescue of the people, who are providing rations and essentials to these people.

    Global Peace Foundation has been continuously providing ration and other essentials since day one specifically targeting slum dwellers and rag picker shanties who are worst effected in the pendemic. The areas covered are around Channi Rama, Himmat and other areas around the peripheries of Jammu City.
    While talking to the volunteers, they said that they have been doing all from the members contribution itself in small amounts to manage the all essentials. Besides the volunteers of the organization also provided masks and sanitizers to Police, Security personnel’s, Municipal employees and other front line workers across Doda and Kishtwar district.

    SURANKOTE APRIL 09 :- 21 days.lockdown to tackle the COVID19 crisis has made people more available to the social media platforms and with this an unprecedent rise in content spreading lies and misinformation targeting religious communities .
    Bothered by all this Saleem choudhary , an engineering student from village Sanai of surankote , Poonch decided to stand against such people and now he is using the same social media platforms to fight those accounts spreading lies and sharing haterd posts against religions and communities . Saleem choudhary also contacted facebook officials and got the necessary help and guidelines to report such accounts to facebook that are violating the facebook community guidelines .
    Saleem choudhary who is also running
    a facebook group with name “Unite against anti religious contents” has achieved some success in erasing such accounts from facebook with the help of like minded people. In his statement Saleem
    called everyone to come together and fight these people , he also added that these people are the divisive forces in our society and if we want to fight these people spreading hatred among hindus , muslims , christians , sikhs we need to come together to fight with force and unity .

    RAJOURI : Former cabinet minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today urged the Union Territory Administration to make plan for the Tribal population which migrates annually from the plains of Jammu region and Peer Panjal to the higher pastures of Kashmir along with livestock,the only source of livelihood. As the administration at most of the places denied them the permission .

    Zulfkar said that to Provide safe passage and due permission for reaching to pastures. Administration must Make arrangements for fodder.
    Free food to the tribal/migratory population for 6 months. And
    Collecting of milk from there localities on market price.

    In view of bi-annual seasonal migration of nomads to upper reaches of Peer Panjal zulfkar also demanded a special advisory for law enforcement agencies to help them to cross various areas and routes they adopted since centuries.

    There are restrictions on movement due to pandemic ,Tribal movement in several areas the Gujjars–Bakerwals are facing extreme adversities, toughest lifestyle, lack economic freedom owing to deficiency of resources so they (Tribal) deserve special attentions of UT administration and Central government zulfkar said.

    The Gujjars constituted more than 20 per cent population of the State and a sizeable population of the tribe, along with their livestock, undertake migration for six months every year.

    As the tribals migrates to upper reaches during crisis of COVID-19 Zulfkar demanded free medicines and other basic facilities for Gujjar and Bakarwals.

    Poonch, Apr 9: At a time when the threat of coronavirus pandemic is looming large, some shopkeepers are selling masks, sanitizers and other items at exorbitant rates, evoking resentment from public.

    There is no availability of masks and sanitizers in Mendhar, Surankote, Mandi and Poonch and if they are found somewhere, the shopkeepers are selling them on high rates. The people have expressed dismay over the authorities’ “failure” to check the markets.

    “We had earlier requested media to highlight such issues but to no avail. We believe if the departments including food and drug control officials will pull up their socks, only then something could be done, otherwise, these essential items will be out of bounds for common masses,” a local told

    Apart from public, even the doctors and paramedical staff of health department is without these essential items, a doctor said, adding that “many chemists in Mendhar, Surankote Mandi and Poonch are black marketing the essential items while the people continue to suffer”.

    Udhampur April 08 :- The District administration Udhampur has launched the E-Pass services for the patients who need curfew pass during the lockdown period.
    Any patient who is in need of curfew Pass can apply online on the E-Pass portal from his/her mobile or computer. The URL of E-Pass Portal is :

    AJKYF further said that the government has taken much needed steps in terms of education sector in the UT as well as in the country, students being the future of the country deserves such promotion on the basis of their academic performance which will eventually boost the moral of the students, as in the time of global pandemic students are being ignored and after ordering such promotions, students will embrace their government and will focus on their studies, now it is the duty of the students to work hard and make their motherland proud and flourish themselves as the best students in the country.
