POONCH MAY 07 (JKNS): An Army soldier was martyred in Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector on Wednesday.
A Defence spokesperson told news agency JKNS that the soldier, who was posted in the Poonch sector, attained Veergati due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistani forces. “He laid down his life in the line of duty,” the PRO said.
Meanwhile, casualties and injuries have also been reported in the ongoing shelling in the district. (JKNS)
