Army foiled infiltration bid in Noushera, killed one PAK terorist.

–In the first incident after February 24-25 midnight ceasefire between Pakistan and India, a group of terrorists reportedly supported by the Pakistan army made an unsuccessful attempt to intrude to this side of LoC in Noushera sector in Rajouri district in J&K and one terrorist was killed.
The Army has killed one intruder on the LoC in Deeing-Kalal Panchyat in the Noushera sub-district and has retrieved his body along with hand grenades, AK rifle, and ammunition.
The recovery includes 1-AK 47 rifle along with four magazines and ammunition and two hand grenades.

“After a peace for about 5 months, the loud sound of two explosions was heard from LOC side in at about 10.45 am and after that silence prevailed,” said the locals.
Defence PRO said that in the early hours on Wednesday a group of Pakistani terrorists made an attempt to infiltrate from across the LoC in the Noushera sector in Rajouri district.
‘Alert Army troops thwarted the infiltration bid by suitably employing an integrated surveillance grid along with domination by fire and engaging the terrorists in a fierce firefight. One terrorist was neutralised and his body has been recovered”: said Lt Col Devender Anand, PRO Defence, and Jammu.
“This action by the alert Army troops display resolve of Indian Army to thwart any misadventure on the Line of Control” he added.
Sources said a soldier was also injured in this operation and has been hospitalised.
The body of the slain militant, Rifle, ammunition, and grenades was in the custody of the Army unit at the time of filing this report.
On June, 30 the Indian Army had foiled a major infiltration from the Pakistani side in LOC in the Sunderbani sector in Rajouri district under the jurisdiction of Sunderbani Brigade. One soldier was injured in the exchange of fire.
A joint statement was issued by India and Pakistan on February 25 and both the countries had agreed to a ‘strict observance of all agreement, understandings and cease firing along the LoC with effect from the midnight of February 24/25.
The decision was announced after discussions between the Director Generals of Military Operations
