Apni party District Vice president Handwara Kupwara demands early compensation to hailstorm victims of Rajwar

:–Apni Party District Vice President Kupwara Ab Rashid Bhat today expressed serious concern over the damage caused to apple orchards and other standing crops due to heavy hail storm in North Kashmir today afternoon especially in Upper Rajwar villages inculding Wadder Payeen, Laribal, Shatigam, and Changimull of Villages of North Kashmir District Kupwara.

In a statement issued he demanded comprehensive compensation to the orchardists and farmers who suffered heavy losses due to heavy hailstorm .

He also alleged that whenever natural calamities cause damage to the fruit and crops, the worse affected are assured compensation and even surveys are conducted but no relief reaches to them.


He urged the UT government to go for immediate assessment of damages to fruit and disburse financial relief to the affected families without any delay as they have already suffered heavy loss when their Apple got destroyed and rotten in the cold storage’s during Covid 19 lockdown.

Waiving of the KCC loan is the need of the hour at this crucial juncture which can be helpful to a great extent in reviving the fruit industry.
