RAJOURI FEB 28:- Students of the Assistant Nursing Medical Training (ANMT) School staged a protest on Friday, blocking the Rajouri-Kalakot road near the Chief Medical Officer’s office in Jawahar Nagar. The demonstration was sparked by alleged harassment from outsiders, with students claiming that their repeated complaints had been ignored by authorities.

The protest intensified after an outsider allegedly attempted to run over a student with a vehicle. Enraged by the incident, students took to the streets, demanding immediate action to ensure their safety on campus.

“We have reported such incidents multiple times, yet no concrete steps have been taken. Today, an outsider tried to hit one of our classmates with his vehicle. We demand strict measures to protect us so we can focus on our studies without fear,” said one of the protesting students.

Upon receiving reports of the protest, police and administrative officials rushed to the scene and assured the students of necessary action. Authorities promised to identify and take strict action against the individual responsible for the incident. They also pledged to enhance security measures around the school.

Following these assurances, the students dispersed peacefully, but they warned of further protests if their safety concerns are not addressed effectively.
