Kashmir Valley has more seats, just because it houses 15 lakh souls more than Jammu Division.

There is gross misconception that Kashmir Valley has been unfairly granted more assembly seats to keep power centre in Srinagar.
Many learned people, even in media, out of their ignorance buy this argument.

Average population per assembly constituency in Jammu Division: 1,45365
Difference in population between Kashmir Valley and Jammu Division: 15,09936
