Adv, Zulkarnain Chowdhary Demands Probe Into Alleged Harassment of Poonch Additional Sessions Judge

JAMMU AUGUST 18:- Advocate Zulkarnain Chowdhary has strongly condemned the alleged harassment of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Poonch, by a police Sub-Inspector, describing the incident as a matter of grave concern and calling for stern action against the official concerned.

In a video circulated on social media from his own account, Advocate Zulkarnain expressed serious concern over the alleged conduct of the police official and demanded a fair, impartial and time-bound inquiry into unfortunate incident.

He also called for the immediate suspension of the erring police official(s) pending the outcome of the inquiry, asserting that any act of misconduct involving a judicial officer cannot be taken lightly.

“The dignity and independence of the judiciary must be protected at all costs. Any police official found responsible for misconduct or harassment of a judicial officer should face strict action in accordance with law,” Advocate Zulkarnain said.

He maintained that the matter warrants an impartial investigation so that the facts are established without interference or bias and accountability is fixed against anyone found responsible.

The advocate further stressed that incidents of this nature can undermine public confidence in institutions and therefore require a prompt and transparent response from the competent authorities.

Advocate Zulkernain demanded that the authorities act swiftly, conduct a time-bound probe and take stern action against the officials found guilty.
