DDC/Panchayat By Elections 2020: 111 Polling parties dispatched for IV Phase

Rajouri, Dec.06 : As many as 111 polling parties were dispatched from the distribution facilities DIET Rajouri and PG college Rajouri to respective polling stations in the district Rajouri on Sunday for the fourth phase of the DDC/Panchayat By Elections scheduled for Monday.

These included 62 polling parties for Manjakote DDC constituency and 49 for Budhal Old B DDC constituency.

The distribution of Poll material along with COVID kits among the Polling Parties along with their departure from the Distribution Centre was done amid tight security under the supervision of ROs and the Nodal Officer Material Management.

Adequate security personnel from Jammu and Kashmir Police and central paramilitary forces were deployed along with the polling parties for the smooth conduct of DDC/Panchayat By polls.

Under this IV phase, polling will be held for DDC seats Budhal Old B and Manjakote and for the Panch and Sarpanch vacancies(where ever necessary).

Meanwhile the District Panchayat Election Officer,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, and Additional Superintendent of Police, Liaqat Choudhary also visited the Distribution facilities to review the arrangements being put in place during the dispatch of the Polling parties.
