KOTRANKA : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Sarpanch Panch Democratic Forum Muhammad Farooq Inqalabi during a press conference in Budhal today welcomed the decision of the central government to hold elections to the District Development Councils in Jammu and Kashmir. During the press conference, Farooq Inqalabi said that the elections of the District Development Council are essential for the full implementation of the Panchayat Raj system in the state and for giving equal opportunity to all remote areas for development. Talking about the delimitation of constituencies for council members in Rajouri district, Farooq Inqalabi said that the common people are happy with the delimitation made by district administration, but some politicians are not digesting this delimitation process. Demanding a separate constituency for Khawas Block, Farooq Inqalabi said that Khawas is a remote and backward area of Rajouri district which needs to be made a separate constituency. He appealed to the District Development Commissioner Rajouri to make it a separate constituency keeping in view the plight of the people of Khawas. During the press conference, he appealed to the youth to come forward and participate in the elections as candidate from their respective constituencies so that remote areas could be better represented. He also appealed to the people to give a chance to the educated youth in these elections.
