MSK kishtwar organises the awareness programme on Domestic violance.

Kishtwar October 18 :– Under the overall supervision of District Programme Officer ICDS Pawan Parihar,District level Centre For Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK)Kishtwar today organised awareness Programme on Domestic Violence Act 2005 at AnganWari Centre Diwaroo A.While addressing to the participants MSK team educated the participants about Domestic Violence Act which aims at protecting women from violence in domestic relationships.

In addition to it they were also sensitised how and Where women can registered her case and lodge FIR and what legal proceedings are necessary to seek justice against domestic violence.It include not only physical violence, but also other forms of violence such as emotional/verbal, sexual, and economic abuse.

Women were given awareness about the Women Helpline 181 and One Stop Centre from where they will get first help regarding any kind of violence faced by them.

Programme was attended by AWWs, Anganwadi Helpers,besides other participants.
