Kishtwar Police re-started “Aman Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2019-20 in Kishtwar

Kishtwar October16:–Police Martyr Dy. SP Shaheed Aman Thakur memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2019-20 which was organized by Kishtwar Police in the month of February 2020 and was postponed due to COVID-19 Pandemic has been re-started again by Kishtwar Police in a cheerful and mesmerizing ambience at Sports Stadium Chowgan Ground Kishtwar. The Ist match was played today between Young Star Kishtwar and Poochal Stars in which Young star Kishtwar after batting first made a moderate total of 105 runs and in reply the Poochal Stars could manage to score only 83 runs and thus the team batting first won the match by 23 runs. Sh. Abdul of Young Star Kishtwar emerged as the highest scorer of the match scoring 23 runs.
The cricket tournament has been organized in the memory of Shaheed DYSP Shri Aman Thakur who displayed utmost courage while fighting with hardcore terrorists at Turigam village of Kulgam district on 24th of February 2019.

District Police Kishtwar while restarting the event ensured COVID-19 protocol like maintainenance of social distancing, wearing of masks, avalibility of Hand sanitizers etc.
