Mandi,/Poonch October 10:– Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday chairman super 30 College of Competitions said World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.
There are Five Warning Signs of Mental illness he added, Long-lasting sadness or irritability. Extremely high and low moods.Excessive fear, worry, or anxiety.Social withdrawal.Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits.He said, Talk about your feelings. Talking about your feelings can help you stay in good mental health and deal with times when you feel troubled.Keep active,Eat well,Drink sensibly,Keep in touch,Ask for help,Take a break,Do something you’re good at.

He said,Good mental health is characterised by a person’s ability to fulfil a number of key functions and activities, including: the ability to learn. the ability to feel, express and manage a range of positive and negative emotions. the ability to form and maintain good relationships with others.

Dr.Shamim Ahmed Banday said,The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
