The biggest fraudster moving around in CAPD & FS&CA Department in Buffliaz!

Majid Ahmed is the self-documented Tehsil Supply Officer who runs a high voltage show of corruption and graft!

Incessant smiling is one of the deadly tools used by someone whose intent is to make others cry. Majid Ahmed perfectly fits the bill here. He enters the home of others with dust on his shoes and selfish expectations in his heart. If you do not believe me then people of Buffliaz ask people of the place and they will give you all the reasons He is wrong man at a right and beautiful place! If someone knows about the mechanics of gobbling money in CAPD & FSCA Department it is this man called as Majid Ahmed. He is serving the state but his methodology is tyrannical and if the people are to be asked then the unanimous answer is that he is a wizard of false documentation, wrong insertions in ledger books, forging signatures for drawing out commissions of the dealers, taking people for giant wheel joy rides, brandishing his muscle power in form of local goons who arm twist the people and in very close contact with Assistant Director Ranjeet Singh in Poonch for all the wrong reasons. Ranjeet Singh has helped him to stay put in Buffliaz although he has been posted to Balakote. His replacement Kamlesh Sharma who stands posted to Buffliaz is at receiving end since Majid is a big hindrance and as per Kamlesh it is Majid who is not allowing him to do his duties and makes sure that he never visits his place of posting since the rowdy buccaneer stops him midway to Buffliaz from Surankote. So far he has been successful and as per the locals he was made a Tehsil Supply Officer by the erstwhile Minister of CAPD & FSCA Zulfiqar Chaudhary and since then has not looked back. He has set up his own empire of sleaze, fraud and under the table deals. Greed, lust for bank rolls and scavenging on state are some of his unmatchable qualities. Are such people required when the job of the Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) is to directly with the poor who get subsidized rations from the Department. It would be great if the Commissioner CAPD & FSCA Simrandeep Singh takes note of this man and hauls him up since he is a ridiculous slur on the Department.

He started as a Chowkidar and slowly moved up the ladder as he got familiar with the functioning of the department. After some time he became a sales man and began feeling the lure and hypnotic effects of the money, thereafter he took over the charge of supply officer and suddenly he was elevated to TSO. Obviously capability and work ethics would not have been the bench mark here since Majid never believed in them. After becoming the TSO he went on an all out offensive with only one aim and that was to make money at the expense of the people and the ration dealers. No one was there to check him and the senior man Ranjeet Singh the Assistant Director sitting in administrative headquarters on Poonch had his hand on Majid’s back and probably gave him the free hand to do whatever he wanted but at the end of the month a nicely iced cake with dollops of cream always reached the top man. Incidentally this practice has been going on for quite some time and therefore this corruption circuit was always functional.

Majid could not have stayed forever in Buffliaz so he was transferred to Balokote as a TSO and instead of him Kamlesh Sharma was posted to Buffliaz . It was a mockery of transfers and postings since Majid never moved out of Buffliaz . He stayed put and even after getting posted out remained clung to the bean stalk at Buffliaz . Kamlesh Sharma is an experienced man and soon he would become an Assistant director but Majid did not care much and he continued to function as a TSO and made Kamlesh look like his second or one can conveniently say a sulking and brooding follower. Here are some incidents that happened which will surely prove as to why Majid wanted to remain an Buffliaz The handing taking over was done on paper and nothing was shown on ground.

If Kamlesh asked him to show him the ledgers, details, stocks, names of ration dealers, names of those in extreme poverty, BPL category and APL category he never gave him the facts and finally if inquired about money transactions the only answer from Majid’s side was, ‘we will discuss over a cup of tea’.

Very recently the government had sent in the money to be given as commission to the ration dealers. Without informing Kamlesh, Majid drew out the money at his own convenience along with his signatures. Whether he gave it the dealers or not is not known but what is known is the fact that the dealers are absolutely fed up of him and want him to leave Buffliaz so that they get a honest man to deal with them and not a crook who sets up indecent proposals.

The people detest him and are livid at his presence in the TSO office since they know he will do nothing and his intent is absolutely inclined to make maximum moolah at their expense.

Helping him out in his ludicrous endeavors are his inner coterie of goons who are always with him and he uses them to spread his malicious writ amongst the people and bullying the ration dealers.

Kamelsh Kumar the heir apparent has been put in a remote corner of the office and he knows that Majid is a bit too hot to handle since he has a rock solid backing of the Assistant Director.

Moreover he is scared of Majid since he is unpredictable and quite capable of doing the unthinkable. As such the things which he is doing are unimaginable.

One thing the people of Buffliaz should not forget: if they don’t guard against those trying to sell justifications for letting the gory constructions of their criminal instincts run wild and concoct pretexts for their malicious acts, they might miss out on most of the things. Majid Ahmed has been trying to do precisely that. He should have been checked right at the beginning but he was not and hence he continued/continues to move around with a nonsensical attitude! Buffliazis a place in the interiors and therefore the officialdom hardly visits. And in any case the legacy that goes around is, ‘things that the top guns in administration can check have to be spick and span especially the paper work has to be deft embalmed in all the sophistry and artistry. The sarpanches and Panches cannot stand his sight and though they have lodged complaints against him yet the top men in high offices of the district are simply not bothered. In no way this comes under the ambit of good governance which the administration keeps harping upon. ‘Corruption has to be trampled in the UT Jammu and Kashmir’ is the big time slogan now and the Hon’ble Governor is making every effort to do so with vehemence but till the time men like Majid Ahmed are there it cannot be. So the only way out is to get rid of him and shown the nearest exit door. His career profile is dubious, how he became a TSO is not known, with what reasons he was put at a responsible chair is also not known but what is known is that he is an outrageous man and an ugly edifice of back handed deals. Should such a man be in the department that directly concerns the poor, under privileged and down trodden strata of humanity? I leave it to the readers and the administrators to decide!
