Man booked, arrested for objectionable FB comments slapped Public Safety Act for such blassfamos Remarks Demanded.

Rajouri,June 10:-Police in Rajouri district have booked and arrested a man for his sensitive and objectionable comments on Facebook.

In it’s official statement, JK Police in Rajouri said that an information was received that a social media user Balkrishan Bhat resident of Rajouri made some sensitive and objectionable comments on Facebook which were than reviewed by the social media monitoring unit of police.

” Taking cognizance of the matter, a case FIR 294/2020 under sections 153A, 295A have been been registered in police station Rajouri against the said person who has been arrested.” police said.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Chandan Kohli said that social media user should ensure to comply with IT Act and norms and no post or comments having sensitive nature should be made.

” It is collective responsibility of all the citizens to play their role in maintenance of peace.” SSP said.

” There is a zero tolerance policy towards those who shall violate the law by any objectionable and sensitive post on social media platforms.” SSP said.

Meanwhile an emergency meeting called by Muslim community Rajouri in this matter at Madarsa Mohammdia Rizviya Rajouri where dozens of religious,political and senior citizens participated .In the meeting prominent leaders appealed to DDC Rajouri and SSP Rajouri that a public safety act shoud be slapped upon the person who comment blassfamos remarks on social media which hurt the sentiments of whhole muslim community.
