Udhampur April 26 :- Giving details IPS Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said Based on reliable sources and regular monitoring and patrolling of social media platforms like facebook, twitter, instagram, whattsaap etc. found Udhampur ‘Dogri’ Link News” uploaded a fake news on social media (facebook page) that 04 number of terrorists were seen near Isckon Temple Udhampur and also opened the fire at particular place by terrorists, out of which 02 millitants were arrested by Police and two of them were escaped from the spot.
Udhampur Police is already on working to trace out the user of Udhampur Dogri Link News who uploaded this fake news and will bring him to face the law
On the identification of such post, A Case FIR No. 169/2020 U/S 505/1(b) , 120B IPC & 66 IT Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur against such user.
Udhampur Police also appealed the general public of District Udhampur to cooperate and inform Udhampur Police if someone is spreading the fake information.
