Rajouri,January, 22:- Revision of Below Poverty Line (BPL) list and sanctioned to pending cases of widow, old age and handicapped person has been demanded by Mr. Ashok Sharma, former legislator and Coordinator, AICC Vichar Vibhag while addressing One Day Convention of Block Doongi Congress workers held at Kaller in Rajouri District.
Mr. Sharma while expressing serious concern over long pending of applications for pension to physically challenged persons, senior citizens and widows besides non-inclusion of thousands of deserving families in BPL list in Rajouri District and rest while in the State of J&K and sought personal intervention of State Governor Sh. Satya Pal Malik and his Advisors to redress the grievances of most deserving people living in harness.
Mr. Sharma requested the party rank and file to prepare such list of deserving cases at an earliest for its further transmission to the government to ensure inclusion of those who have been deprived of benefits of National Welfare Policies due to non existence of their names in BPL survey list, during the day long convention. The senior most leaders constituted committees on panchyat halqa, ward and block levels of Congress youth SC and OBC cells.
Halqa Presidents: Mohd Ishtaq, Som Parkash Khajuria, Romesh Chander, Shabnam Choudhary, Ravinder Kumar for Badoon, Kaller, Pind Narian, Loorkote and Sangpur.
Halqa Youth Presidents: Javid Iqbal, Soiab, Danish Majid, and Lovesh Sharma for Badoon, Kaller, Sangpur and Pind Narian.
OBC Cell Block Doongi: Suraj Parkash (Principal Retd) Capt. Raj Kumar and Prithvi Raj, President, Vice President and General Secretary.
Prominent among who addressed the convention were Susheel Jamwal, Amar Nath Shah, Sajjad Mirza, Kashmir Singh and Vijay Moji BCC President.
