**Senior leaders reportedly threaten resignation, allege neglect of Pahari community**
GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL
POONCH, OCT, 28:– Senior National Conference leaders in Poonch have reportedly issued a 10-day ultimatum to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and party president Farooq Abdullah, warning of resignations if the MLA from Haveli is not given a significant position in the party or government.
The reported ultimatum reflects growing resentment among sections of the party’s local leadership, who allegedly feel that the mandate from Poonch has not received due recognition. The leaders have reportedly accused the party high command of sidelining the region and ignoring the aspirations of the Pahari community.
The reported development could pose a challenge for the National Conference leadership as discontent over political representation threatens to affect the party’s standing in the region.
“Poonch’s mandate deserves respect, not neglect,” is the message reportedly being conveyed by the disgruntled leaders.
However, the reported ultimatum and threat of resignation could not be independently confirmed, and there was no official response from the National Conference leadership available at the time of publication.
