JAMMU MARCH 23:-A growing shortage of LPG (cooking gas) in the Khour and Akhnoor areas has caused significant inconvenience to residents, with consumers reporting delays of 10–15 days in receiving booked gas cylinders.
According to locals, despite timely bookings, cylinders are not being delivered, disrupting daily household routines and forcing many families to rely on alternative arrangements for cooking.
Taking serious note of the issue, Thakur Puran Singh Manhas, Convener of All India Panchayat Parishad (Jammu & Kashmir), has urged the government and local administration to intervene immediately. He called for ensuring a regular and uninterrupted supply of LPG in the affected areas so that consumers receive cylinders on time.
Manhas emphasized that delays in an essential service like cooking gas are a matter of serious concern and need urgent redressal. He also appealed to the administration to review the functioning of gas agencies and take necessary steps to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
Residents have expressed hope that authorities will act swiftly to resolve the issue and restore normal gas supply, easing the difficulties faced by the general public.
