RAJOURI, DEC 30: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a crucial meeting in his office chamber to discuss measures for improving child healthcare, especially in remote and far-flung areas of the district including habitations near the Line of Control (LoC).
*Emphasizing the importance of a coordinated approach, the DC directed the Anganwadi Workers, teachers and ASHA workers to work in tandem at village level. “If any child is found unwell in the school, the teacher must immediately communicate the matter to the concerned ASHA worker, who will further escalate it to the ASHA Coordinator. This system will ensure timely intervention and care for children in need, he added.*
To strengthen the healthcare efforts, the DC asked the stakeholder departments to provide first aid kits to schools with thermometers and ORS packets. These essential supplies will enable frontline workers to respond promptly and effectively to common health issues.
