SIDBI in partnership with NGOs TYCIA – REACHA and Indian Army launched Jazba, a livelihood support project in Kupwara, J&K.

KUPWARA FEBRUARY 20:– The Jazba Project will aim at providing financial support via direct bank transfers and rendering capacity building to community role models across India working on social projects to support the community.

The funds transferred are to be used by the beneficiaries both towards their business sustenance and to support their work.

10 deserving individuals with certain livelihood skills were identified and approved by the Indian Army of Kupwara. They were onboarded Project JAZBA in December 2021. The program was officially inaugurated in November 2021. After a couple of offline mentorship and online meetings, it was decided to release first tranche of Rs 10,000/- for JAZBA beneficiaries to establish their agreed micro-enterprises.

Mamatha Esteves and Azad Naqasbandi from REACHA Foundation formally introduced the program to the beneficiaries and dignitaries explaining the program contours. On this occasion Mohammed Sultan , prominent personality was also present. Mr Sultan appreciated the efforts of concerned organisation for rehabilitation of the families.

The beneficiaries spoke their heart out indicating that this program will give them wings and they will become financially independent and that this program will enable them to work towards upliftment of other women’s as well.
