Rajouri June,21: Like other parts of the country the 5th International Yoga Day was observed at Rajouri with this year theme “Climate Action” to raise awareness of the many benefits of practicing yoga-a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Main programme was organised at Dak BRajouri in the morning hours where senior district officers, members from civil society and press club, locals and others participated and performed yoga.
Deputy Commissioners Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad was the chief guest on the occasion ,DC interacted with the participants and highlighted the innumerable health benefits of performing yoga regularly.He highlighted that yoga is as ancient indian tradition and a prized possession of the ancient Indians traditions.

Yoga is a remedial measure in this stressful and fast moving life ,where every person is suffering from stress the art of practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul and help in exhaling the negative energy; thus helps on managing stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxed. Practicing yoga might seem like just stretching, but it can do much more for your body from the way you feel, look and move, said DDC.
Among others ASP,Rajouri, Liaquat Choudhary, ADMO Dr Haider Shah, DYSO Swaran Singh, MO Dr Tahir Choudhary, Administrator OSC,Neetu Sharma and other members also participated and performed yoga during the programme.
