SHOPIAN JULY 16:–The people of village Kanihama of Tehsil Hermain Shopian took a sigh of relief when a long pending dispute between people of two mohallas over a graveyard was resolved amicably today by intervention of District Administration Shopian
On directions of Deputy Commissioner Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya a team of revenue officials headed by Tehsildar Hermain Nasim Bilal persuaded the matter with two disputing parties and also involved local religious leaders and elected panchayat representatives. Finally both parties agreed to common terms and year old matter was resolved amicably. The graveyard is now thrown open to be utilised by both disputing parties.
The locals expressed gratitude to district administration for getting matter of great public importance resolved. Pertinently the dispute was lingering on from past 4 years from one court to another.
