3rd Day: Body of drowned youth yet to be retrieved in Rajouri.The NDRF team reached Rajouri, started a search operation.

RAJOURI SEPT. 01 :–The trauma for the family of a 22-years old boy, who was washed away in flash floods in a river in Manjakote tehsil of Rajouri district on Friday at about 2.30 pm, continued for the third day as his could not be traced till Sunday evening.
Sources said that Yassar was on his way home and while crossing the river near his village Saroola at about 2 pm, he was washed away in the flash floods.
Immediately after the mishap, locals rushed to spot for the help of Yassar but couldn’t find him due to floods till late evening hours.
People later contacted the district administration for help and on Saturday at about 5 am a SDRF team reached the spot and started a rescue operation.
Meanwhile, people of the area along with family members constituted several teams and flashed to different locations, including Rajouri town (about 15km from the spot) to trace the body but all the efforts failed to trace the body of Yassar till Sunday evening.In the meantime, on the request of family members/villagers, District Administration called a team of NDRF from Ludhiana (based at Jammu).
In the afternoon on Sunday a NDRF team, including rescuers, deep divers, rescue boat & other life-saving equipment, headed by inspector Pankaj Yadav reached the spot and started searching for the body of the drowned youth.
“We have started a search operation in the area including a spot in about 30 feet deep water. The operation is in progress, but we have not found the body yet,” said inspector Yadav.
