RAJOURI MAR 12:-The Youth Congress staged a massive protest against the Lieutenant Governor administration, demanding justice for the victims of the Billawar massacre. Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers, condemning the incident and urging authorities to take swift action.
The Protest Led by District Youth President Muhammad Rafiq, the demonstration saw participation from several prominent leaders, including Assembly Speaker Naushera Ravinder Singh Chauhan, District Vice Presidents Zarina Begum and Ibrar Khan, along with members Ghulam Mustafa and Rafaqat Hussain. The protesters accused the administration of failing to ensure the safety of innocent citizens and called for accountability from law enforcement agencies.
Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Rafiq denounced the killings in Kathua-Billawar, terming them “unacceptable” and demanding a thorough investigation. “We seek strict action against those responsible. Justice must be served,” he asserted.
Zarina Begum voiced concern over the deteriorating law and order situation, stating that rising violence has instilled fear among the people. “The administration’s failure to curb such incidents is alarming. We will not back down until justice is delivered,” she declared.
The protesters raised slogans against the government, pressing for immediate intervention. They warned of intensified demonstrations if their demands were not met, vowing to continue their fight for justice.
Criticizing the central leadership, Zarina Begum emphasized that ensuring security in the region is the responsibility of the Home Ministry. “The ministry has completely failed in its duty to protect the people,” she stated.
The demonstration concluded with a strong message to the administration, urging immediate action to prevent further unrest in the region.
