During the meeting, Gupta submitted a memorandum outlining key demands aimed at boosting infrastructure, tourism, and community security.
Expressing gratitude to Lt Governor Sinha for his proactive outreach and people-centric governance, Vibodh Gupta emphasized the strategic and economic importance of timely completing the Jammu-Akhnoor-Poonch highway. To address connectivity gaps, Gupta strongly advocated for the construction of the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch railway line, describing it as a catalyst for economic growth and development in the region.
Focusing on tourism Gupta underscored the potential of Rajouri-Poonch to emerge as a global tourist hub. Addressing the issue of power shortages in the region, Gupta urged the Power Development Department to devise a comprehensive strategy, including the establishment of a new grid station to ensure reliable electricity supply.
