Thousands Pay Tribute as Rajouri Bids Farewell to 30-Year Serving Soldier

RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 15:-The border town of Darhal mourned the loss of one of its proud sons as Havaldar Mohd Zubair Malik of BSF 141 Battalion was laid to rest with full honors on Monday. Malik, son of Hafiz Ahmed Sayed, passed away yesterday at 1 p.m. at a Ludhiana hospital after a prolonged illness.
His funeral was held today at 11 a.m. in his native village Darhal Topa Panchayat, where he was buried in the local cemetery near his residence. A large number of mourners, including political representatives, social activists, and residents from adjoining areas, gathered to pay their last respects. The Border Security Force Rajouri contingent presented a guard of honor, acknowledging his three decades of dedicated service to the nation.
Havaldar Malik, remembered as a kind-hearted and generous man, had served the BSF for 30 years with distinction. He still had eight years left in service. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and two sons.
The funeral prayer was led by Hafiz Mohd Sayeed, Khatib of Jamia Masjid Darhal and President of Anjuman Ulama-e-Ahle Sunnat, Jammu Province. Among the prominent attendees were Sain Abdul Rashid, DDC Member Rajouri, along with other political and community leaders who praised the late soldier’s contribution and character.
Darhal today stands united in grief, saluting a soldier who lived for duty and community till his last breath.
