UDHAMPUR MAY 07:– On the directions of SSP Dr Vinod Kumar IPS,Udhampur Police has organized an interaction for forest fire fighting and aware public about impact of forest fire and importance of forest.
The meeting was co chaired by DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Sahil Mahajan and SHO Police Station Udhampur Insp. Chaman Gorkha and conducted under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Anwaar Ul Haq . The meeting was attended by the Forest officials, PRIs, officials of the block and local inhibtants of Kallar, Battal Ballian and Sangoor area of Udhampur town. Participants were made aware about importance of forest and impact of forest fire on ecology, environment and lives of forest fringe communities.
While addressing the participants, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur appealed to the participants to help the Police/Forest department in controlling forest fire incidents. The participants were also requested to communicate the message to other people in their surroundings and motivate the volunteers for protecting the forests and wild life resources from the distraction of Forest fire.
Udhampur Police presented vote of thanks to all the participants as well as general public present during the meeting.
