UDHAMPUR APRIL 21:–Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs and psychotropic substances from the society, Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband Heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.
Police party, led by SHO PS Rehambal Insp. Nishant Gupta and assisted by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Sh. Sahil Mahajan while patrolling near Kali mata temple, Tikri Udhampur, apprehended one person who was roaming suspiciously and tried to conceal his presence on seeing police party.
On asking said person disclosed his identity as Mohd. Hanief S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Chak Morh, Udhampur. On frisking of said person, Police recovered 15.30 grams of contraband heroin like narcotic substance and arrested the accused on spot.
In this regard case FIR No. 72/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Rehambal and investigation taken up.
