RAJOURI DEC 06:-In a significant effort to support the educational aspirations of underprivileged tribal students, the Gujjar and Bakkarwal Hostel in Kalakote, under the Tribal Affairs Department, has become a beacon of hope. The hostel provides free accommodation, food, medical care, books, and uniforms to students from the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category, allowing them to pursue education from the 6th to 11th grade.
This initiative is transforming the lives of many students, with a majority of them aspiring to join the Indian Army and serve the nation. The education offered is not limited to the hostel itself but extends to various government schools in the Kalakote region, where students receive additional tuition support within the hostel.
Around 100 students from various parts of Rajouri district are currently benefiting from this program, paving the way for a brighter future. With a focus on providing quality education and holistic support, the Gujjar and Bakkarwal Hostel is nurturing the dreams of these young minds and empowering them to achieve their goals.
Through this initiative, the Tribal Affairs Department is helping the poor and marginalized students of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities build a solid foundation for their future, contributing to their growth and the nation’s development.
