Transportation of poultry chickens: CAWO Rajouri activists urge DC to halt cruel handling.

RAJOURI, AUGUST 03:–Compassion Animal Welfare Organization (CAWO) Rajouri has expressed deep concern over the cruel treatment of poultry chickens by transporters in the border districts of Rajouri & Poonch.
Prominent animal welfare activists of the organisation, including Sanjay Sharma, Sajad Iqbal, and Romeez Khan, have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal to take immediate action to prevent further cruelty and ensure the implementation of animal welfare laws with the assistance of the police department.
These activists have alleged the mistreatment of poultry chickens during transportation and termed it a matter of grave concern for them.
“We are deeply disturbed by the inhumane practices witnessed during the transportation of these birds which are often transported in cramped and unhygienic conditions, causing immense suffering, cruel handling, and distress to the innocent creatures,” said Compassion Animal Welfare Organization.
Sanjay Sharma, Sajad Iqbal, and Romeez Khan have fervently requested both the public and the administration to address this grave issue.
They emphasized the urgency of activating relevant departments to halt the cruelty being inflicted on poultry chickens and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
Sajad Iqbal, spokesperson for the Compassion Animal Welfare Organization said: “The treatment of poultry chickens during transportation is an issue that demands immediate attention. It is our moral duty to protect animals from such brutal practices and uphold the principles of compassion and empathy towards all living beings.”
“We urge the DC Rajouri to enforce strict animal welfare laws and ensure their effective implementation in the district. Collaborating with the police department can play a crucial role in ensuring that the perpetrators of such cruelty are brought to justice,” said the Compassion Animal Welfare Organization.
Romeez Khan called upon the public to be vigilant and report any instances of animal cruelty they come across during transportation.
“Collective efforts from the community could make a significant difference in safeguarding the welfare of these vulnerable creatures,” said Khan.
The Compassion Animal Welfare Organization and the concerned activists hope that their appeal will be taken seriously by the authorities, leading to concrete measures to protect poultrybeing’s chickens and other animals from any form of cruelty in the Rajouri district.
By enforcing animal welfare laws and raising awareness, they aim to create a safer and more compassionate environment for all living beings.
Compassion Animal Welfare Organization hoped for an early response from the Deputy Commissioner to address this pressing concern and prevent further suffering of innocent animals
