RAJOURI JUNE 11:-The 30th annual Urs of revered Sufi saint Baji Shafi Sab was celebrated with great fervour and devotion at Nanga Thub in Kotranka sub-division of Rajouri district. The spiritual event, which spanned five days from June 6 to June 11, drew lakhs of devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir and various parts of the country.
The Urs, known for its inclusive spiritual atmosphere, witnessed participation from people of all religions, who came together to offer prayers, seek blessings, and share meals in a common langar. The shrine, even outside the Urs days, remains a significant spiritual destination, drawing continuous footfall of pilgrims with unwavering belief in the saint’s divine blessings.
Devotees believe that their prayers, especially those concerning the departed souls, are fulfilled at this sacred place. The culmination of the Urs today saw emotional scenes as final prayers were offered under the spiritual leadership of Gaddi Naseen Bagh Aslam.
The event stands as a powerful symbol of secularism, unity, and spiritual harmony in the Pir Panjal region.
