Terror Victim; family, relatives, & people bid tearful adieu to Mohd Razaq.Resentment among people, neither Div Com nor ADGP visited the victim family: A Q Mir.

RAJOURI APRIL 23:–Terror victim, a junior assistant in the Social Welfare Department (SWD), was laid to rest on Tuesday amid tearful adieu by family, relatives at his native village Kund Tope in Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri district.
After the funeral prayers, attended by hundreds of people from adjoining areas- also joined by SDPO, SHO & Tehsildar Thanamandi- Razaq’s body was laid to rest near his father’s grave.
Mohd Razaq’s father, Mohd Akbar, who was a Panch, was also killed by the terrorists in 2003 and Razaq was appointed in the SWD on compassionate grounds under SRO-43 rules.
Razaq is survived by an aged mother, wife, five minor children, including three daughters.
On Monday at about 8.30 pm two terrorists appeared in the village and intercepted a villager going to offer prayers in the Mosque & inquired about Tahir Hussain’s (Serving TA soldier) house, younger brother of deceased Mohd Razaq.
Terrorist entered Tahir’s house and enquired about the identification of both the brothers.
Apprehending trouble, Tahir after hitting a terrorist escaped from the house while Razaq also followed him.
Terrorists opened fire on them, and a bullet hit near the ankle of Tahir while Razaq was killed on the spot.
Sources said Tahir was on the hit list of terrorists who, according to them, was tasked to gather information about the movement of ANEs in the area.
The people of Kunda Tope, Shahdara Sharief and adjoining areas have expressed their resentment as none of the top brass of police & civil administration, including Divisional Commissioner, ADGP Jammu DIG Rajouri-Poonch Police Range and SSP visited the victim family and the site of terror attack.
Div Com & ADGP Jammu Province along with other senior officers of CRPF, DIG remained stationed at Thanamandi town even though Shahdara Sharief is about 6 kilometres and Kunda is about 8 kilometres from Thanamandi.
“We were waiting for the Div Com and ADGP at Shahdara Sharief to accompany them to Kunda to meet the victim family and the people to assure them about suitable relief and assurance of more security as the terror has gripped the entire area after the incident and movement of foreign terrorists” said Ex-Bureaucrat, Executive Officer District Waqf Board Rajouri & DDC Member Thanamandi.
But unfortunately, none of them visited Kunda, which led to resentment among the people, he added.
