RAJOURI, JANUARY 09:–Tension gripped Muradpur village (Rajouri) in the late evening on Monday after a report of a suspected person reportedly barged into a house in Mehta Mohalla in ward No.6.
Another incident of pelting stones on the house of a BJP leader in Danidhar Mohalla of Rajouri Township was also reported in the late evening hours today.
Both incidents have created panic among the inhabitants of Rajouri Township and its adjoining areas because of twin terror incidents in Dhangri village on January 1 & 2 in which 7 persons, including two brothers, a father-son duo, and two minors, were killed.

Rajnjit Tara, a social and political activist said that in the evening hours a call came from village Muradpur that a girl, cooking food, noticed that a person has entered their house.
“The girl informed the father and both after locking the main gate went to adjoining house of her uncle. They informed me about the incident and I immediately contacted SHO, Rajouri” said Tara.
In the meantime, the son of the uncle opened a fire from his personal gun but was not retaliated.
Ranjit Tara added, a team of SFs including CRPF reached the village, and a search of the house and adjoining areas was conducted.
The search team found the door of the terrace which, according to the house owner was locked from the inside and the suspected person might have escaped from there after hearing the fire sound.
Panic gripped the entire area. On December 13, two suspected persons had barged in a house; about 100 meters from Mehata Mohalla and after some time left and were never traced.
It is alleged that the same group (two persons, one short & other long) had killed two innocent civilians and injured another at Phalyana (also in Muradpur area) near Army hospital at about 6.15 pm on December 16 and escaped unhurt.
It is also alleged that the same group is involved in Dhangri massacre and is still un-traced despite continued search operations launched by the Security Forces and the Army since the killings.
“A joint team of the CRPF and police have reached Muradpur village and has searched the house and adjoining areas. Nothing suspicious has been found during the search related to militancy. Speculation about the suspected entered the house can’t be ruled out,” said SSP, Mohammad Aslam.
A police team has also rushed to Danidhar to investigate the incident of pelting stones on the house of a BJP leader.
