RAJOURI NOVEMBER 18:– Ten Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Rajouri district, including two doctors & two health workers, on Thursday which is a warning signal both for the people as well as for the administration.
Gross violation of Covid-19 SOPs by the people and lackadaisical attitude of the administration in enforcing CAB strictly are few among other reasons for the increase in the cases.
Even on Thursday, a large number of people were seen without masks, not keeping social distancing in a largely attended official function at the sports stadium.
Out of ten cases detected on Thursday, four are health workers-including two doctors-three locals & two soldiers while three patients also recovered on today.
Out of seventeen active Covid cases in the district at presnt, no patient is under treatment in GMC&AH Rajouri, three are under treatment in the Army /BSF hospital, twelve are in home isolation, and two are in CCC/Triage.
As per the daily bulletin issued on Thursday as many as 3667 people above 18 years of age were administered first (92) and second (3575) Covid vaccine doses across the district, thus bringing the cumulative number of doses administered in the district to 8,27,347.
During the first & second waves 6,28,663 tests, including RAT (4,75,839)and RT-PCR (1,52,824) have been conducted to date in the district among them,11304 were tested positive out of which 11049 have recovered while 238 died including 183 during the second wave.
As per the media bulletin during the second wave of Covid pandemic, 4, 56,737 people have been tested for Covid-virus infection to date, out of which 7431 were declared positive.
Enforcement Teams (ETs) fined scores of violators of Covid-19 SOPs on Wednesday have recovered a fine of Rs 22,980 taking the total amount fined since April 1 to Rs 63,69,734.
The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.
