Tehsil level surveillance teams to monitor Covid containment measures /functioning of govt departments.

Rajouri May 11:--Like past few days, Tuesday once again has recorded a steep rise in positive cases when 208 persons were tested active and 5 have lost their lives due to pandemics.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate has constituted Tehsil level Mobile Surveillance Teams (MSTs) to ensure the implementation of the measures taken for the Containment & Management of Covid-19 and to check whether the Government Departments functioning for the welfare of the people at grass root level as per their mandate.
The team will be headed by the concerned Tehsildar/in-charge Tehsildar and BDO, Principal of designated HSS, representatives from FCS&CA & Social Welfare departments and JE, PWD will be the members of the team.
The teams shall ensure the establishment & functioning of the Covid Care Centers (CCC), 100% vaccination of the targeted groups testing/sampling at village level; registration of ‘Sehat’ beneficiaries ; coverage of beneficiaries/achievements under PMAy; cent-percent contact tracing in containment zones, timely payments under MGNREGA.
The teams shall also ensure regular supply of power/water; the availability of sufficient quantity of ration; availability of medicines/medicine kits to positive cases; enforcement of Corona Curfew & restrictions; shop’s checking for over-charging; physical presence of staff in the villages deputed by Education & RDD departments; to ensure the functioning of CCCs/auxiliary hospitals/triage centers, to ensure segregation of and shifting of symptomatic persons to CCCs/triage centers etc.
The teams have been directed to visit villages in the tehsils on daily basis and to submit brief details of their activities (through Tehsildars) to District level Joint Control Room for further submission to Deputy Commissioner.
Till Tuesday 6994 persons have been tested positive in the district out of that 4115 were tested negative and recovered while 2776 are still active.
Out of 2776 active cases, 2601 are in home isolation, 140 in hospitals isolation (including 25 out of district) and 35 in Army/BSF isolations.
The death toll has reached 103 against 56 deaths were recorded in the district till March 3 this year.
