Team Darhal qualified for White Knight Premier League -22 scheduled for June 2 at Akhnoor

RAJOURI, MAY 24:–A cricket team from Darhal Tehsil has lifted the trophy of Rajouri Premier League by beating t he Tehsil Thanamandi tehsil and has qualified to compete in T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by the White Knight Corps at Akhnoor from June 2.
Indian Army’s White Knight Corps is celebrating its Golden Jubilee & one of the events is the White Knight Premier League 2022, where ten districts of the Jammu division will participate and fight for the coveted trophy.
The youth of the Jammu Division will participate in the sporting venture. The tournament is also part of the Khelo India movement and in conjunction with Golden Jubilee of White Knight Corps.
The teams from ten districts of Jammu Division will participate in the T 20 White Knight Premier League-22 (WKPL-22) Cricket Tournament at Akhnoor.
To select the Rajouri district cricket team, Ace of Spades Division under the aegis of White Knight Corps, kick-started Rajouri Premier League-22 (RPL-22) on May 18 in which 13 teams from all the tehsils participated.
The final match was played on May 24 at District Police Lines (DPL) between the teams of Darhal & Thanamandi tehsils and the Darhal team emerged as the winners.
“The grand finale marks the end of a weeklong tournament where 13 teams of Rajouri district participated & have shown true sportsmanship, true mettle and tremendous potential,” said a senior Army officer.
Darhal has been unbeatable in the tournament & emerged as Champions and both the teams were presented with a trophy, cash prizes & medals.
Mohd Ibrar has been adjudged as the Man of the Series & Man of the match title was bagged by Shahid Sabbir. The match was witnessed by a vast audience including senior military, police & civil officials.
More than 160 players took part in the tournament. The People of Rajouri have appreciated the endeavours of the Indian Army & Ace of Spades Division to endow & motivate the youth of the region towards the development of a healthy & competitive spirit of sportsmanship for their better future.
