RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 05:– The commemoration of Teachers’ Day in District Rajouri was marked by a series of activities aimed at recognizing the invaluable role of teachers in society.
The day began with Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, lighting a candle in honor of the man to whom Teachers’ Day is dedicated, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.
In a heartfelt gesture, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, bestowed honors upon numerous teachers and heads of educational institutions for their outstanding contributions to the field of education.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with unparalleled enthusiasm across District Rajouri, with the main event taking place at the Dak Bungalow in Rajouri. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by ADC Kotranka, Surinder Mohan Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar; ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; CPO Mohd Khursheed; ACR Imran Kataria; DPO Auqil Nuvaid; Chief Education Officer Sultana Kousar; Principals, Headmasters, honored teachers, and students.
On this auspicious occasion, the Education Department Rajouri honored numerous teachers from various Educational Zones of the district for their exceptional contributions, particularly in facilitating students through online classes, community classes, and the provision of offline study materials.
Addressing the gathering, DC Vikas Kundal highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the nation and emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating their contributions. He also expressed concern over drug abuse in the district, urging students of different age groups to protect themselves from this harmful habit. Kundal underscored the achievements of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir under the Digital India initiative, citing the convenience of over 1000 services available with just one click through the e-Unnat portal. He stressed the role of teachers in eradicating corrupt practices and drug abuse from society.
Students who participated in the event also shared their perspectives on the influential role teachers have played in their lives. Similar programs were organized at the zone and school levels throughout the district, with a focus on “Bhrashtachar Mukt Jammu and Kashmir” and the Digital India campaign, featuring various activities such as paintings, quizzes, debates, dramas, skits, rangoli, posters, marathon, and more.
