It is pertinent to mention here that for the last 1-2 years JNV Koternaka management has failed to take strict action against trouble creator students and on Monday the management faced a tough time in controlling the physically violent clash between two groups of students and forced to call the police to control the situation.

Three students were among others who received serious injuries and were admitted to Associated Hospital Government Medical College at Rajouri for specialised treatment.

Sources said Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner had asked the school management to tackle the incident with iron hands and not to allow such a situation to arise in the future.

The school management has also been directed to call & hold a meeting with the parents of the trouble-creator students within the next 2-3 days.

Kamal Jeet Bhatti, Vice-Principal said: “10-12 students who are habitual trouble creators and have brought bad name to the institution which has produced talented, bright and gifted students including Shahid Iqbal Choudhary”.

Shahid Iqbal Choudhary presently is the Administrative Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department and Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth, Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, J&K.

Vice Principal further said that Chairman JNV Kotranka Management Committee, Vikas Kundal has asked for his help in improving the institution’s internal situation.

“10-12 erring students may face exemplary punishment which may include shifting to other institution or rustication so that no student dare to create trouble in future,”.

Reliable sources said that the JNV management has preferred counselling sessions besides internal inquiry into the whole episode instead of reporting the matter with the police.
