RAJOURI NOV 08:-Patients at Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri are raising alarming concerns about the quality of meals provided by the hospital’s contracted service, reporting that food frequently falls short of basic nutrition and hygiene standards. The deteriorating meal quality is causing distress among patients, and many are questioning the hospital’s commitment to quality care.

During a recent visit, our team observed the substandard condition of meals firsthand and sought to raise these issues with hospital authorities. However, after waiting over ten minutes outside the Medical Superintendent’s office, no official was available to address these urgent concerns, leaving patients and their families without immediate recourse.

This ongoing situation has led to growing calls for the Principal of GMC Rajouri to reassess the current food service contract and take decisive action against the contractor. Many believe that a strict review is necessary to ensure that patients receive safe, nutritious meals, as they are an essential part of recovery and well-being in any healthcare facility.

The local community and patients’ families are urging hospital authorities to prioritize this issue, restore trust, and reinforce GMC Rajouri’s commitment to providing a standard of care that supports patients’ health and dignity.
