RAJOURI JULY 07:–Rajouri and Poonch are two districts located in the Jammu and Kashmir region . Rajouri and poonch are twin border districts situated in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas western and southwestern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. It shares borders with Pakistan on the west .These districts arelocated in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas and are known for its picturesque landscapes, meandering rivers,the rugged terrains with deep valleys and steep slopes, scenic beauty, lush green valleys, and snow-clad peaks. Rajouri and poonch are diverse districts with a mix of various ethnic and religious communities. The major communities include Gujjars, Paharis, and Dogras. People predominantly follow Islam, Hinduism, and Sikhism. Agriculture is the main occupation, with crops like wheat, maize, rice, and pulses being cultivated. Livestock rearing is also a significant economic activity. These districts has some small-scale industries and are known for handicrafts like woodworking and carpet weaving. Both has tourist attractions such as the famous Rajouri Fort, Dehra Ki Gali, Thanamandi, Budhal, Koteranka peer Badisar, shadhara shrief Abdullaha Water Fall , Darhal valley, chingus fort, dhanidhar fort, muradpur fort and mosque, shadhara S, Chotay shah, seven sister lakes, Poonch Fort, peer ki Gali ,Noori Chamb Waterfall, Loran Mandi , Nangali sahib, Buddha Amarnath, and Pir Panjal Range.
