Rajouri July 12 :–Enforcement teams in a drive to implement Covid-19 protocol across Rajouri district have recovered fines worth Rs 1,64,320 from scores of violators on Sunday & Monday.
The total amount fined since April 1 this year has reached more than twenty- four lac. People have been asked to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.
Pertinently after 3-4 days suspension due to non-availability of the vaccine, the vaccination was resumed on Sunday, but once again suspended for tomorrow in few health blocks because once again vaccine was not sent by the higher authorities from Jammu.
According to a daily media bulletin, the health department has collected 2178 samples today while out of 1121 reports received 2 cases were detected positive.
The district still has 37 containment zones while out of 10802 active cases (detected during 1st and 2nd wave) 10499 have recovered, 222 died and 81 are still active ( 6929 detected during the 2nd wave).
The overall positivity rate of the district is 2.51%, the recovery rate is 97.1 %, while 2, 39,719 tests have been conducted during the 2nd wave.Out of 81 active cases,28 are under treatment in the hospitals, including 6 in GMC Rajouri, 15 in the Army hospital, and 7 in the hospitals outside the district.
The district has achieved 101% target as far as vaccination for health care workers, 98% for front line workers, and 105% for above 45 years age group.
31% persons of above the 18 years age group have also been given the first jab of the vaccine.
4,13,175 tests, including RAT3,00,821, have been conducted across the district during 1st and 2nd wave out of which 10802 were tested positive while the reports for 966 tests are still awaited.
