SRINAGAR AUGUST 08:– The chairman Bashir Ahmad Kanu of Shah-re-Khaas Traders and Chambers today issued a statement of strong support for the enforcement drive conducted by the Food Safety Department, J&K. The SKT&C has expressed its deep appreciation for the department’s proactive stance in inspecting food businesses and taking decisive action against the sale of unhygienic and adulterated food products, particularly rotten meat.

In a press note released Chairman stated, “We wholeheartedly commend the Food Safety Department for their dedicated efforts to protect public health. The continuous inspections across the valley, which led to the seizure and destruction of tons of spoiled food, are a crucial and much-needed step.”

The SKT&C noted that the actions taken by the department have brought a sense of relief and confidence to both traders and consumers. “We are a community that prides itself on integrity and quality,” the chairman continued. “The presence of a few unscrupulous elements who deal in rotten and harmful food items not only endangers our citizens but also damages the reputation of our entire business community. We are grateful that these violators are being held accountable.”

The Shah-re-Khaas Traders and Chambers looks forward to the continuation of these enforcement measures. The organisation urged the Food Safety Department to maintain its strict vigil and to ensure that all individuals found guilty of these heinous crimes are met with the full force of the law, including being put behind bars.

“We stand in solidarity with the Food Safety Department and pledge our full cooperation in any efforts to identify and eliminate these illegal practices from our markets,” the chairman concluded. “Ensuring the well-being of our customers is our shared responsibility, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards of food safety.”
