Bhaderwah April 27 :–Today SDPO Bhaderwah in collaboration with the staff of Govt. Hr. Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah organized awareness programme on “Drug abuses and its remedies” in which 200/250 students of Govt. Hr. Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah participated. The tentacles of drug menace are spreading among the youths, who are the backbone of our nation. Doda Police is leaving no stone unturned in engaging the youths in constructive activities like sports tournaments, cultural activities etc. During the programme, SDPO Bhaderwah, fthkar Ahmed, Principal Higher Sec. School Boys Bhaderwah,and Counsellor Baljeet Singh have delivered their lectures regarding drug abuses its effects and remedies.
SDPO Bhaderwah stressed upon the students that the drug menace is a major threat to the society particularly young generation and Doda police has taken various steps to curb the drug menace.
He also urged upon the participants that Drug addiction is a disease and must be treated like we treat other diseases. We are playing our role but we need collective efforts from Parents, Teachers, Social organizations, NGOs, Religious organizations and society at large. During programme Brochure/Pamphlets designed by District Police Doda containing information about Drug abuse its effects and remedies were distributed among the participants. Participants thanked Doda Police for organizing such programme.
