SURANKOTE,MAY 14:- Sarpanch Association Block Surankote has warned the state governor administration and district administration through a press conference that the 20 percent cut from FC 15th is not acceptable to amend the MNREGA plan, to which the association has reacted strongly. This press conference was conducted under the leadership of Sarpanch Association President Syed Waheed Hussain Shah,while talking to media persons he said that the plan formulated under MGNREGA scheme has been implemented three times before and has been changed once again in Rajasthan, Punjab, Orissa, Bihar and others stattes ..The plan will be prepared according to the needs of the pillars. The plan is being forced to be implemented in hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, which is unwarranted. It has to be compiled but it is not acceptable to change the plan country to the geographical location. He also mentioned that in mountainous areas where water cannot stay inside the mountains, Harveston Construction of tanks is not possible. He said that construction of tanks and springs in hilly areas has already been completed so in such a case it is not permissible to introduce a plan for other states of the country. He appealed to the State LT Governor and District Development Commissioner, Poonch, to come to Block Surankote and address the issues of Sarpanches and negotiate the issue. On the occasion, Abdul Rasheed Zargar, who has held the post of Sarpanch for three consecutive terms, said that the higher authorities should refrain from dictatorial approach and keeping in view the geographical situation of the panchayats, the plan passed in the gram sabha should be given priority which is also appropriate. Referring to his panchayat, he said that the people of Punjab are deprived of road connectivity even in the modern age of the 21st century due to which they are facing immense difficulties. He said that in view of the need of the hour, panchayat funds should be spent on road construction.
He thanks to the general public can benefit in such cases are more important than government guidelines. He said that if the authorities asked him to formulate a plan against the public interest, then all the sarpanches would not shy away from benefiting. On this occasion, Sarpanch Khadim Hussain Kataria said that the BDC chairman has voluntarily awarded only certain persons which is not permissible in any case. He further said that the members of the BDC chairman are the sarpanchs and they have no one to take them into confidence. Planning is absolutely illegal and will not be accepted under any circumstances. He warned that if the amendment order regarding FC 15th and MGNREGA plan was not withdrawn, the sarpanch would not shy away from protesting. He also said that in the next few days, the sarpanch association block a meeting will be held in Surankote in which these issues will be discussed again and the future action plan will be worked out.
